Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email you send long enough to respond and manage the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive limited technical information when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device to help measure visits, popular pages, and exit points. Analytics providers combine that usage information for us. You may block cookies through browser controls, although doing so can change how parts of the site function.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
We neither host nor sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. The site identifies the Ochiltree County clerks, courts, and official search channels from which records may be requested. Texas judicial records may be governed by Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 and other court rules rather than the Texas Public Information Act alone. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing practices govern information submitted to them, and we do not control those practices. Review the applicable partner policy before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to clerk pages, court portals, re:SearchTX, legal-aid resources, or commercial search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy terms apply. Read them before providing personal information.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used for data under our control. No internet service is completely secure, however, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If such information was submitted, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541, and other laws may provide rights based on your residence and the law's applicability. Available requests may include:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
